Somebody please explain to me what the white race is!  I am so sickened that when I go fill out papers, voting registrations, unemployment, school stuff, etc. that they have catergories for every other race in the world........then there's white or black!

I had the opportunity to fill out a bunch of forms in recent months.  It blew my mind that they had: American-Indian, Latin, Asian, Black or White.  Since when did white become a race or ethnicity?  This is offensive to me and I'm sure many other races that have only a color to describe their ancestry.  Why don't they have a box for Greek, Ploish, Swedish, and German American for me???

What really killed me was that they didn't even have an 'other' box to check for caucasians!  They had other (asian) and other(latin) and that was it!!!!  I remember the days where there was a caucasian box to check....do you?  What happened?

So, if you're brown, you have a race and ethnicity, but the rest of us are only either white or black?!?!  I wonder which box the French or Brazilians have to check?  What about the Russians, Czechs, Nigerians or Turks?  I guess if you're born in America, even though your parents are from Italy and Hungary, you must check that you are the "White Race!"  Doesn't that sound a little discriminatory?  I myself refuse to check those boxes and join a politically motivated race that does not exist.  Yes, maybe the color of my skin is closer to white than yours, but since when did that become the only way to describe the other 250 million people that live in America!  Why can't AMERICAN be an ethnicity?  It makes sense to me that when we refer to people being German that come from Germany, or French when they come from France, that we could be called American when America is where we come from!  Now of course that wouldn't be politically correct!  It's now considered racist to be a proud American! 

Well, color me racist if you must, color me proud!  I am a proud American despite the color of my skin!  I want a box to check that doesn't demonize Americans based on some of our light coloring.  Americans have a lot to be proud of and the color white or black, is not one of these things.  That is what seperates America, not the people that are proud to be here!

I don't understand why these liberals are trying to seperate race by color!  It has become so heated that people who don't look exactly like me are afraid to even look at me!  I grew up as a minority and never once was my lighter color an issue!  Why is it now?

I have recently spent time at a board where I was called a "racist" at least two hundred times in six weeks, by a conservative estimate (pun intended).

Why?

For advocating that the border should be secured effectively, of  course.

An American Indian agreed with me, but he was not once called a racist.

Predictable.
